Greenwood Counts provides a free, dynamic, easy-to-use, one-stop digital resource for access to community quality of life data. You will find up-to-date demographic, education, environmental, economic, health, social determinant, and equity data that highlights trends, challenges and opportunities in our community; hundreds of maps, tables, and figures, and, promising practices.
This innovative platform would link its visitors to promising practices and resources that encourage and promote informed community action.
2019 Catalyst Award Winner
Each year, the BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina Foundation works with organizations to promote and support healthier South Carolinian’s, particularly the economically vulnerable. In 2019, the Foundation awarded 13 Catalyst Grants to organizations for projects that foster innovation to improve the health and well-being of those throughout the state.
What United Way of the Lakelands d0 to be one of the 13 winners?
Created a web-based platform that provides easy-to-understand health and quality-of-life indicators for Greenwood County. This system will equip local leaders, including government and hospital officials, to create a coordinated, prevention-based community plan to improve health outcomes while addressing social determinants of health.
